BIO

Angel Javier is a first-generation Dominican-American multi-hyphenate creative whose art embodies resilience and artistic exploration. As a bilingual singer-songwriter and producer, Angel channels his everyday experiences into a rich blend of boom-bap instrumentals, mellow grooves, and melting guitar tones. His sound is both nostalgic and forward-thinking, drawing from his multicultural upbringing.
Angel’s passion for music took root in his early teens when he picked up the guitar and began experimenting with beat-making. These formative years saw him jamming in the rhythm section of his high school jazz band and singing baritone in the school choir. Determined to advance his craft, Angel enrolled at Berklee College of Music to study Music Production and Audio Engineering but had to pause his studies due to financial challenges during the pandemic.
Despite the obstacles, Angel emerged with a sharpened skill set and extensive performance chops in Boston’s vibrant music scene. From local dive bars and gritty house shows to open mics, his dedication has earned him national recognition and co-signs within the indie scene, including being named an Artist to Watch by Ones To Watch in 2022. His music has also achieved international acclaim, with press coverage and radio play spanning the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and beyond. Angel has performed on notable stages such as Boston Calling, The House of Blues, Sonia’s, and many more.
Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be a breakthrough year for Angel Javier. In early spring, he will release his second EP, “Analog EP Vol. 2,” a continuation of the sonic collage introduced in his 2023 debut. Following up with the promising rollout of his first fully Spanish-language project, “Tímido-Pop,” which fuses the Afro-Latin influences of his Caribbean roots while embracing contemporary sounds and aesthetics.
